Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the corporate tax function, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning and decision-making processes.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries, working closely with tax authorities to resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Monitor and manage tax risks and exposures, implementing appropriate controls and processes to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and service providers.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years (post qualification)of relevant experience in corporate tax, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with an ability to interpret and apply them to complex business situations.
  • Experience in tax planning and strategy development, with a proven track record of achieving tax savings and optimizing tax positions.
  • Familiarity with international tax principles and transfer pricing concepts.
  • Prior experience in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think strategically and provide innovative tax solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive tax information.
