Job Purpose: You will perform professional transportation economy studies and analyses in relation to Dubai’s strategic transportation plans, policies, and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform professional transportation economy studies and analyses in relation to Dubai strategic transportation plans, polices and projects.
Develop and update policies, guidelines and methodologies in relation to macro and micro economic studies and analyses for transportation plans, travel demand management measures and projects.
Undertake wider economic feasibility studies for transportation projects (roads, public transport, travel demand management measures, fare structures and options, smart centres, platforms and applications).
Suggest, develop and update economic analysis tools, models and data base required for to facilitate carrying out different types of macro and micro economic studies and analyses.
Undertake economic feasibility studies for newly evolving mobility modes and business models making use of best international practices
Collect, check and analyze data related to economic growth of different economic sectors in Dubai, GDP information and studies, local and regional economic trends anddevelop robust methodologies to forecast and modify the forecasts of Dubai population (resident and day time) in the context of a comprehensive EBA (Economic-Based Assessment) framework.
Prepare scopes of work and manage different types of transportation economic feasibility studies which need to be conducted with the help of external consultants.
Review and comment on financial and economic study reports received from internal and external entities and stakeholders.
Perform any other duty as required or assigned by the higher authority.
