Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description (in brief):
Ø Oversee Mechanical engineering development during the Engineering, and Construction & Commissioning phases of the project for all Static/Rotating Equipment & Packages.
Ø Responsible for managing EPC deliverables and all Mechanical works associated with Static/Rotating Equipment and packages, undertaken & executed by the sub-contractors/Vendors.
Ø Prepare and Review of Data Sheets, Equipment List & Specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations
Ø Prepare and check procurement engineering documents, like tender documents/RFQs, technical bid analysis, purchase recommendations
Ø Vendor follow-ups, check & approval of vendor drawings/documents and witnessing of factory acceptance tests (FAT)
Ø Checking of Interdisciplinary documents during IDC review cycle
Ø Actively participate and lead for resolving all deviations and benefit EPC projects with value engineering
Ø Coordination with other disciplines as required, ensuring success of multi-discipline project parallel working
Ø Provide technical & commercial advice to Client on selection & evaluation of all Static/Rotating Equipment and Packages.
Ø Preparation of letters and Technical clarifications to Client, covering technical justifications and recommendations.
Ø Review of Vendor Drawings and Calculations for Equipment including all Static/Rotating Equipment and Packages.
Ø Visiting Vendor offices for follow-up & Site inspection activities.
Ø Technical support to Construction and Commissioning teams regarding site issues and clearance of punch items
Ø Ensure meeting vendor equipment specifications as per client equipment specifications and within budgeted costs.
Ø Provide smooth interfaces with project team and other Company function during the project execution.
Ø Participate in site surveys required for field engineering for assisting construction works.
Ø Effectively coordinate with Customers / Clients, to timely resolve technical queries, deviations and design changes.
Profile of candidate:
Ø B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or similar education background with at least 10+ years practical experience in the Oil and Gas industry pertaining to production facilities and mechanical design.
Ø Must possess interpersonal skills to be able to coordinate in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Ø Ability to communicate with Client, engineers and designers
Ø Ability to accept and follow instructions correctly.
Ø Ability to self-motivate and improve personal technical skills through personal or company training, research and study, and to be resourceful in searching/upgrading technical knowledge.
Ø Good command of English and strong communication skills
Ø At least have minimum 2 years’ continuous experience on ADNOC Onshore projects in detailed engineering and design.
Ø Knowledge of Static/Rotating & Package engineering related Shell DEP and International Codes and Standards
Ø Demonstrate specific knowledge and practice of ASME Sec VIII Div.1 & 2, API 650/620, TEMA, API 610,670, 676,682 ASME B31.4 and B31.8 and other applicable ASME standards.
