Perform highly skilled mechanical maintenance work on all terminal equipment and diagnose faults and malfunctions, troubleshooting to perform required repairs and provide an estimate of repair (and/or replacement) costs.Perform repair, preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment including container handling equipment (STS, RTG, front lifts, reach stackers, tractors, etc.) and work machines (fork lifts, sweepers, water & fuel carrying trucks, etc.) and light vehicles (pick-up trucks, mini vans, mini buses, passenger cars).Manage all equipment maintenance operations through official software, making sure accurate data is available for the calculation and monitoring of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) required by corporate management in support of the Planning Department.Ensure the records keeping of all equipment data, technical characteristics, drawings, service and maintenance manuals, spare parts catalogues, corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, either in physical or in electric format.Assure the completion of assigned maintenance and repair tasks by monitoring daily work progress, inspecting work performance and providing corrections of any deficiencies as necessary, redirecting work efforts to meet critical and/or necessary work requirements to meet assigned completion targets.Assist with the development of a competent and efficient mechanical maintenance work force by training departmental personnel (as necessary)Plan and schedule daily and weekly maintenance activities in coordination with the Work Management Center, and supervising the performance of emergency and routine mechanical maintenance.Assist in the development of mechanical maintenance work through training for technicians.Perform highly skilled mechanical maintenance works in installation, operation, maintenance and modificationMonitor the use of supplies and materials, estimating future use of materials, ordering those supplies and equipment, and distributing supplies/materials and equipment as required,Apply safety regulations and rules and work conditions.Assign and supervise a team of mechanics; Propose process improvements, train and guide subordinates on detailed procedures, on the safe operation of equipment and tools.Conduct periodic inspections and giving on-site supervision to hazardous or unusual work assignments ensures availability of equipment, materials and supplies.
