Quantity Surveyor - Marine
Roles & Responsibilities Develops and maintains systems for Design Consultants covering the areas of budgeting, cost control, estimating and reporting. Reviews the various activities of construction projects about variations and submission for Management approvals. Ensures that cost estimating and cost control requirements for variations are incorporated in the tender specification documents. Reviews the cost estimates submitted by the Consultant / Contractor and ensure compliance with the Agreement, Contract drawings and specifications, and the accuracy of Company requirements. Reviews the Bill of Quantities prepared by Design Consultants and Contractors and ensures they are according to drawings and specifications. Verifies project control budgets and updates them as required for Management approval. Prepares and reviews the forecasts for the final project costs, including variations, considering the commitments. Prepares and updates cost data to review the cost estimates submitted by the Design Consultant. Reviews final cost reports, assets registers, and project closeout reports for compliance with Contract requirements. Reviews Change Requests, Contract Trend Notices, Variation Orders, Claims, etc. Performs other similar or related duties as assigned. Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor. Prepare and review cost estimates and budgets for marine construction projects. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelors degree in engineering / QS or a relevant degree. Ten years of relevant experience. Certified Chartered Quantity Surveyor preferred. An understanding of costs and FIDIC. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Able to develop good working relationships with clients and their agents. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.

Marine Structural Inspector
Roles & Responsibilities Monitoring all aspects of the project to ensure compliance with approved and proper standards. Liaising with the other Inspectors and Project Engineers to provide support and guidance as required. Liaising with other Inspectors to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any structural/civil components or systems. Inspection of works relative to their portion of the project. Conduct a patrol site visits to ensure fully compliance with QHSE requirements. Coordination with the Contractor's Q/C personnel. Assist in expediting of NOCs if they appear to be stalled or in delay. Full understanding of SORs & NCRs protocol, and monitoring both of corrective actions and Preventive actions by Contarctors. Expedition of approvals from the Inspection Teams if it appears to be stalled or delaying the project. Conduct a periodical off-site visits as needed to follow up on production activities and ensure material delivery to site on time. Maintain registers of all submittals and testing, both on-site and off-site. Maintain full site records, including daily site diaries in an approved format and formal monthly progress photography. Provide reports on the progress of the works. Prepare reports related to administration and control associated with the quality of the performed works. May focus on specialised trade or area. Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill. Senior Engineer - Marine

DBB Contracting LLC is looking to recruit experienced Senior Engineer to work on Marine Projects, this is across Residential / Villas and Retail Sectors. Project are valued between AED 100m to 300m. We require experienced Senior Engineer, who have on similar valued Projects, for a Tier 1 / Tier 2 Main Contractors. Duties will include: 1. Managing and execution of technical aspects for construction of Marine structures like quay wall, revetment, breakwaters, marine piles installation, excavation, filling etc. 2..Ensure all work activities are in conformance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications and method statements . 3.Interact with quality, HSE, Independent Testing Laboratory and Subcontractors for ensuring that all contractual / company and local authority requirements for Quality, Health Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements are being complied. • 4.Prepare and submit the Method statements including Risk assessment and job hazard analysis 5. Liaises with QA/QC Engineer & HSE Officer to fulfill the Quality & safety requirements of the project 6. Ensure that the required inspection and tests are carried out, and completing records of successful completion of works and approvals for hold and witness points identified on the Inspection and Test Plan 7. Ensure material and equipment’s are requisitioned on time and in correct quantities 8. Monitor Non-Conformance's if any are closed and taking timely preventive and corrective actions, necessary liaison with QA/QC and HSE department. 9. Maintain As Built records and ensuring this is reflected on the drawings as work progresses 10. All other duties that fall into the role of a Senior Engineer Desired Candidate Profile 1. UAE/MOFA Attested bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. 2. Minimum 5 to 10 years work experience in Marine Projects preferably from a Tier 1 / Tier 2 Contracting Company. 3. Projects worked on, as Senior Engineer should be in excess of AED 100m, managing significantly large packages and scope of works. Roles & Responsibilities Follow-up with vendor for documentation submission as per approved VDDR. Expedite with the Engineering and QA Team for documents approval. Expedite the supplier to get the progress report and update the data in weekly report Field Expediting Visit at Supplier workshop whenever required. Weekly meeting with Vendor & Project Engineers and chase for priority items. Ensure approval of all supplier documents before inspection. Expedite the Suppliers for stage wise inspection. Coordinate with inspection dept. or TPI and arrange the inspection accordingly. Identify any supply issues which may impact on the project schedule and report to the management Co-ordinate with Engineering / QC Team & Vendor for clearing NCRs if any. Issue Material release to supplier for packing arrangement after successful inspection or receipt of IRN. Expedite supplier to get the shipping documents (Delivery Note, Packing List, Tax Invoice &a AWB/BL) for dispatch. Issue Shipping release to shipping dept for dispatch. Expedite with suppliers and collect the all respective Material Test Certificates and Quality Documents (VDRL, MRB) Closely coordinate with vendor and forwarder for logistics arrangement Issue the all coded documents & test certificates to CLIENT for their future references. Review Vendor invoice for approval and send to finance for payment Purchase order closeouts Desired Candidate Profile Must be familiar with Mechanical items such as Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Skids, Pumps, Various type of Valves, Line Pipes, CS/SS/Alloy Pipes, Flanges, Fittings, Bulk items etc. Must have experience of 8-15 years in EPC industry, preferably in Oil & Gas industry.
