This includes diagnosing and addressing issues with pipes, drains, faucets, and other plumbing components to ensure proper functionality and prevent leaks or blockages. They must ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant codes and safety regulations, and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Additionally, the plumber coordinates with other facility staff to schedule work and minimize disruptions, responds to emergency plumbing issues promptly, and provides expert advice on maintaining plumbing systems to prolong their lifespan and efficiency. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: day to day activitiesPlumbing System Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure optimal functionality and prevent issues. Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve plumbing faults and malfunctions, including issues with pipes, drains, faucets, and other components. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant codes, safety regulations, and industry standards to maintain safety and quality. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues, such as leaks or blockages, to minimize damage and ensure the facility remains operational. Installation and Upgrades: Install, replace, and upgrade plumbing systems and fixtures according to specifications and requirements, ensuring proper functionality. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety protocols during all plumbing work, ensuring a safe working environment and minimizing risks. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations, including service logs and inspection reports. Coordination with Team Members: Collaborate with other facility staff and trades to schedule plumbing work and coordinate activities effectively. Client and Stakeholder Communication: Communicate clearly with clients and facility stakeholders regarding plumbing issues, progress, and solutions, ensuring their needs are met.Resource Management: Manage tools, equipment, and materials effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and minimizing waste.
